McGowan Associates Inc. is a Veteran-Owned Small Business offering MRI Compatibility Testing and Analysis to the Medical Device community. Our practice includes testing, modeling and simulation and analysis with regard to implanted devices as well as to accessory devices designed for use in the MRI environment. Our test methodology includes procedures developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International, in particular Committee F04 on Medical and Surgical Materials and Devices, on which Dr. McGowan is an active member and participant. Our staff includes professionals in the Engineering and Medical fields, and our network of associates and consultants extends to the larger scientific community. Dr. McGowan also provides analysis of mishaps involving medical devices in the MRI environment.
